Few writings in history spark as much interest, avoidance, and disagreement as the book of Revelation. Written in a way that can often be confusing, this book speaks of things that are difficult for us to understand and hard for us to apply. It is not as much concerned with the end of the world as it is with how to live faithfully in the world in the here and now. Its central message is the same as every other book in the Bible—Jesus and his Kingdom. When we read Revelation this way, focusing on its central message of Jesus, we discover how to imagine the Kingdom of God and live faithfully as the people of Jesus right now. In this extended series happening through December 6, we will do our best to simplify its message to something you can understand and apply.
